Spring Summer 24 Lookbook
| Spring / Summer 2024, titled “Fading Prospects” envisions classic prep through a distorted lens. Inspired by the fallout of the banking crisis of early 2023, particularly the collapse of SVB and the subsequent fear surrounding the stability of smaller banks, this collection delves into the socioeconomic landscape of America. A stark reality emerges: the majority of the nation's wealth is concentrated in the hands of Baby Boomers, while Millennials and Gen Z face a disproportionate share. Against this backdrop, "Fading Prospects" explores the shifting contours of the American dream, once romanticized but now increasingly elusive. Traditional elements of prep style are deconstructed and reinvented, with garments bearing the marks of distress, weathering, and modification. These sartorial choices symbolize a rejection of the promised prosperity and success, embodying a collective disillusionment with the fading hope of attaining the American Dream.
